Tripy Launches the World's First AI-Native Platform for Travel, Events, and City Intelligence

Dubai-based startup Tripy introduces a unified ecosystem that combines AI trip planning, event intelligence, real-time personalization, and connected experiences, purpose-built for the next generation of global travelers, starting in the UAE and GCC.

Travel is a $12 trillion industry. And it still runs on frustration. Ten apps to plan one trip. Language barriers that make millions feel invisible. Events that promise connection and deliver chaos. The most meaningful experiences in people's lives, still powered by the most fragmented technology in the world.

Tripy was founded in Dubai to solve exactly this. Not by building another booking platform. By building something the travel industry has never had: an AI operating system for the entire experience of moving through the world.

Some of the most meaningful moments in our lives happen through experiences, the places we travel to, the people we meet, the events we attend, and the memories we create. We built Tripy to make those moments more intelligent, more connected, and more human.

Atlas 5.1: Tripy's AI Model Knows Where You Should Go, Who You Should Meet, and What You Should Do Next

Atlas 5.1 is Tripy's purpose-built AI model for travel, events, and city intelligence. Unlike generic recommendation engines, Atlas understands the full context of a traveler''s journey, their goals, interests, schedule, and real-world environment, and uses that understanding to coordinate every layer of the experience.

For travelers, Atlas builds complete itineraries around events, exhibitions, and personal interests, combining flights, hotels, restaurants, transportation, and local experiences into one seamless planning flow. For event attendees, Atlas surfaces the most relevant sessions to attend, identifies the highest-value people to meet, and guides users through venues and cities with real-time contextual intelligence.

Atlas is what makes Tripy feel less like a booking tool and more like a travel intelligence layer that works for you, before, during, and after every journey.

AOS: The Agentic Operating System That Eliminates 75% of Travel Friction Behind the Scenes

Running beneath every Tripy experience is AOS, the company''s proprietary Agentic Operating System, built specifically for travel and event coordination at scale. AOS automates the complexity that makes travel stressful: multilingual communication, itinerary adjustments, customer support, real-time personalization, and operational coordination across every touchpoint.

According to Tripy's infrastructure models, AOS reduces operational workload by up to 75 percent compared to traditional travel systems. That efficiency translates directly into better pricing, faster response times, and a seamlessly managed experience for every traveler on the platform.

AOS was designed to remove friction from how people move through the world. The goal is to make travel feel effortless, powered by intelligence working quietly in the background.

Tripy's Event Intelligence Platform Already Changing How People Experience World Token Summit & TheBlock Festival in Dubai

Tripy recently launched the beta version of its event intelligence platform at World Token Summit and TheBlock Festival in Dubai, the company''s first live deployment. The results validated the concept immediately: more than 600 early users engaged with the platform during the events, averaging nearly three hours of active session time as they used Tripy to plan schedules, navigate venues, discover sessions, and coordinate meetings in real time.

The platform''s most-used feature was Tripy's networking intelligence layer, an AI-powered system that identifies the most relevant people for each attendee to connect with, based on shared interests, industry background, professional goals, and mutual opportunity. Critically, the system began surfacing recommendations before the events officially opened, giving attendees a head start on every meaningful conversation.

Tripy is now onboarding major global events including AI Lisbon, SBC Summit, and GITEX Global, with additional event partnerships currently in progress across the UAE and internationally.

The Moment That Started Everything

The philosophical foundation of Tripy didn't come from a boardroom or a business plan. It came from watching his mother.

During a trip abroad, Tripy founder Mohamed Ashraf watched her use voice-based AI in her native language to navigate a city she had never seen before — asking questions, discovering places, and moving through an unfamiliar environment with a confidence and ease that no traditional travel app had ever given her. No map confusion. No language barrier. No fear. Just a voice, a response, and the freedom to explore.

That moment changed everything. It made one thing undeniable: the biggest barriers in travel are not logistical. They are human. Language. Familiarity. Fear of the unknown. And AI, applied with genuine care for the traveler, could remove those barriers for hundreds of millions of people who had never felt truly served by the travel industry.

That clarity gave Mohamed Ashraf the courage to make the hardest decision of his career. After years leading product and digital transformation at Emirates Group and Arabian Adventures, part of one of the world's most iconic travel conglomerates, he walked away from the security of corporate leadership and a role that many would have spent a lifetime chasing, into the uncertainty of building something the industry had never seen. On his last day, he wrote to his colleagues: "I knew this was the moment to take the leap." The world his mother navigated with a single voice and a single question — that was the world Tripy was going to build for everyone.

It also set Tripy's most ambitious technical target. If a voice interaction could give his mother that feeling, confidence, clarity, belonging in an unfamiliar place — then Tripy needed to build the most advanced AI voice agent ever built for travel. Not a chatbot. Not a search bar with a microphone. A genuine conversational intelligence that understands where you are, what you need, what you're feeling, and what would make your experience better — in your language, in your tone, in real time.

That pursuit became Hey Tripy, Tripy's proprietary voice AI, built to be the most capable travel voice agent in the world. Multilingual by design, context-aware by architecture, and human by intention. Just say it. Tripy already knows what to do next.

Technology becomes powerful when it removes fear and gives people the confidence to explore the world. That one moment showed me what AI could do for travelers everywhere.

The Mind Behind Tripy

Mohamed Ashraf is a product and digital commerce leader with over a decade of experience building platforms and ecosystems used by tens of millions of people across the Middle East and globally.

Ashraf's approach to product has always been shaped by a deep obsession with user experience, influenced in large part by Steve Jobs and the belief that technology only earns its place when it disappears into the experience itself. Not features for features' sake. Not complexity dressed as capability. But products so intuitive, so considered, and so human that the technology behind them becomes invisible. That philosophy is embedded in every layer of Tripy.

Before founding Tripy, Ashraf held senior product and UX roles across some of the region's most consequential digital platforms — including Emirates Group and Arabian Adventures, where he worked at the intersection of travel and digital experience; Amazon and Noon, where he shaped e-commerce journeys at regional scale; Tabby, the MENA region's leading buy-now-pay-later platform; and Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange.

Across each of these, Ashraf operated at the same intersection that Tripy now occupies — user experience, digital commerce, emerging technology, and the moment where a product either earns a person's trust or loses it forever.

That career built one consistent conviction: the most important technology is the kind that removes barriers for real people in real moments. Not enterprise infrastructure. Not feature lists. Human experiences, made simpler, smarter, and more accessible through intelligent design.

Mohammed Ashraf also founded and led three ventures that shaped the builder he became. At ViralX.ae, he built one of the region's leading CGI and anamorphic 3D advertising studios, delivering viral campaigns for global brands with measurable commercial impact. At InvestorFinder.co, he built a founder-to-investor matching platform from scratch that facilitated over $100 million in investor commitments within its first six months. At EliteLink, he led product and strategy for a professional connectivity platform, laying the groundwork for the network intelligence and human-matching capabilities that now power Tripy's event networking engine.

Tripy is the fullest expression of that conviction — a platform built not to optimise transactions, but to transform the way human beings experience the world. [Mohammed Ashraf](https://mohammedashraf.com) is based in Dubai and leads Tripy as Founder and CEO.

New Financial Layer Built Around How Travellers Actually Move Money

International travel is still held back by payment infrastructure that hasn''t kept up with how people actually live and spend. Currency restrictions, cross-border transaction fees, banking accessibility gaps, and payment friction continue to block millions of travelers from seamless global experiences.

Tripy is building a dedicated financial infrastructure layer to solve this. The platform will support cryptocurrency payments, buy-now-pay-later travel financing, and a future Tripy Wallet and payment card, a unified system connecting travel payments, loyalty rewards, city perks, event passes, travel discounts, and digital collectibles into one connected financial experience.

Alongside this, Tripy is developing blockchain-powered security infrastructure to protect traveler data, strengthen identity verification, reduce fraud risk, and build long-term digital trust across its growing ecosystem.

The World Is Now a Game Worth Playing.

The most engaged platforms in the world aren't social networks, they're games. Duolingo turned learning into a daily habit. Starbucks turned coffee into a loyalty obsession. Fortnite turned a map into a cultural universe through Battle Passes. Tripy is bringing that same behavioral engine to travel — and every city and event on the platform gets its own.

Every destination and every event onboarded to Tripy receives a dedicated Pass — think Battle Pass, but for the real world. The Dubai City Pass. The GITEX Pass. The Formula 1 Riyadh Pass. The Coachella Pass. Each one transforms navigation into a progressive experience with unlockable badges, collectible characters, exclusive rewards, and challenges tied specifically to that destination or event. The more you explore, the more you unlock. The more you unlock, the deeper you go.

For travellers, it makes every city and event feel like a living world worth completing. For cities and tourism authorities, it drives longer stays, wider exploration, and higher spend per visitor — every badge is a tourism outcome delivered through engagement rather than advertising. For event organizers and sponsors, it turns passive attendees into active participants — branded challenges drive booth traffic, sessions reward badges, and completing the full event experience unlocks exclusive digital and physical merchandise with trackable, opt-in ROI. For brands and partners, sponsored challenges and co-branded collectibles create a performance marketing channel inside a high-intent travel context that traditional advertising has never been able to reach.

Early beta data from World Token Summit and TheBlock Festival confirmed that gamified features drove the highest engagement rates on the platform — with users actively returning throughout the event to progress, collect, and complete their experience.

"We want every city and every event to feel like an experience people can truly progress through, collect, and remember."

Tripy Originals: Where Travel Becomes Culture

The world's most beloved brands don't just sell products. They create culture. Disney built worlds. Nike created movements. Spotify made music personal. Tripy is doing the same for travel, and Tripy Originals is where it begins.

Tripy Originals is the company's creative engine, producing original music, cinematic storytelling, and immersive digital content that makes people feel the pull of a destination before they ever book a flight. The first project, City of Dreams, is an original album capturing the energy, ambition, and soul of cities across the UAE and GCC. The debut track We All Are Emiratis is already resonating as a cultural moment, a tribute to the multicultural spirit that made the UAE one of the world's great destinations for innovation, experience, and human connection.

But Tripy Originals is bigger than an album. It is a content strategy designed to do what no travel platform has ever done: make people emotionally addicted to exploring the world.

Tripy 360: The World's First AI Travel Entertainment Universe

The next generation of travelers discovers destinations through content, through creators, soundtracks, and storytelling that make a city feel alive before they arrive. Tripy 360 is Tripy's answer to that shift and its most powerful audience growth engine.

At the center is Tripy's AI-powered digital travel personality, a living companion that guides millions of people through cities, events, and cultures through immersive real-time content across social platforms. Think less virtual influencer, more cultural universe. The kind of creative ecosystem Riot Games built around League of Legends, Netflix built around its originals, Spotify built around its artists — but built entirely around exploring the world.

The commercial logic is deliberate. Tripy 360 creates a global audience emotionally connected to destinations — then gives them the most intelligent platform in the world to actually go. Content drives discovery. Discovery drives booking. Booking drives the ecosystem. Every original track, every city guide, every AI story is both cultural output and acquisition engine simultaneously.

Tripy 360 launches alongside the full platform this October — with creator collaborations, original soundtracks, and the first AI travel content series currently in production.

"People don't build emotional connections with booking platforms. We want Tripy to feel alive — something people explore with, connect with, and remember."

Built for the Gulf. Designed for the World.

The Gulf region isn't waiting for the future. The UAE has mandated agentic AI across government services within two years, backed by a $2 billion AI infrastructure commitment and an AI Strategy 2031 targeting 35 percent of GDP growth from artificial intelligence. Saudi Vision 2030 has committed over $1 trillion to tourism and technology transformation, with a target of 150 million annual visitors already tracking ahead of schedule. Qatar's National Vision 2030 is scaling toward 6 million annual tourists, riding the momentum of a World Cup that generated $17 billion in economic impact and proved the Gulf's capacity to host the world.

Tripy was built inside this ecosystem, and its architecture maps directly onto what these governments are actively building. The UAE's target to reach 40 million annual visitors by 2031 requires intelligent visitor infrastructure at scale. Tripy's Atlas AI serves as exactly that, a real-time, multilingual AI travel companion deployable across Dubai Tourism, Abu Dhabi Tourism, and national event ecosystems like GITEX Global, which alone attracts 180,000 attendees from 170 countries every year. Dubai's D33 Agenda targets AED 32 trillion in GDP growth this decade, with tourism as a central pillar. Tripy's city intelligence and gamification layer directly supports visitor engagement, spending, and destination exploration across the emirate.

For Saudi Arabia, NEOM, Qiddiya, Red Sea Global, and AMAALA represent entirely new categories of destination with no playbook for visitor experience. Tripy's agentic coordination, event intelligence, and personalized discovery platform provides exactly the intelligent infrastructure layer these destinations need to serve high-value international travelers at scale. The kingdom's $40 billion AI investment through the Public Investment Fund and its $100 billion Project Transcendence initiative signal a government actively seeking private sector AI platforms that deliver real-world deployment, not pilots.

The GCC travel market is projected to reach $111 billion by 2028, growing at over 9 percent annually. Tripy is not positioned to benefit from this growth from the outside. It was founded here, built for this region, and designed to serve as the AI infrastructure layer connecting governments' most ambitious national visions with the real experiences of the travelers who will make those visions real.

The UAE and the GCC represent one of the most ambitious and forward-looking ecosystems in the world. Tripy was born here, inspired here, and we are proud to help showcase the creativity, culture, and future vision of this region to the world.
